Children's Privacy Notice

1. Who the service is for

Charmed Chronicles offers preschool and kindergarten-preparation activities and is directed to children, including children under 13. A parent or guardian should open the service, control access, and help the child use it.

2. What happens in the current version

Most learning information stays in the web browser's local storage on the family's device. This includes activity progress, answers and accuracy, stars, rewards, skill settings, custom words, goals, and saved artwork. The grown-up email used at the access screen is also stored locally.

The hosted site uses Google Analytics and Vercel hosting. Those providers may process technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, visit time, general location derived from IP address, and cookies or similar identifiers. We use Analytics reports for basic operation and improvement, not to serve ads or create advertising profiles for children.

3. What we do not ask children to provide

We do not currently ask a child to provide a full name, personal email address, mailing address, telephone number, precise location, school name, voice recording, or personal photo. The service has no child-facing chat, public profile, social sharing, targeted advertising, or purchase flow.

Parents should avoid entering sensitive or directly identifying information in custom words, goals, or artwork titles.

4. How information is used and shared

Local learning information is used to run activities, remember progress, adapt difficulty, show rewards, and apply parent choices on the device. Technical information is used to deliver, secure, troubleshoot, and understand use of the hosted service.

We do not sell or rent child information. We do not allow a child to publish personal information through the service. Our current service providers are Google LLC for Analytics and Vercel for hosting and operational security.

5. Parent choices and controls

A parent or guardian can:

• decide whether the child may use the hosted service;
• clear locally stored learning and access information using the browser's site-data controls;
• block or opt out of Google Analytics as described in our Analytics & Storage Notice;
• ask us to identify, review, correct, or delete child information that we maintain; and
• refuse future collection or use of child information where applicable.

Contact support@charmedchronicles.site with a request. We may verify the requester's relationship to the child before disclosing or changing information.

6. Parent notice and consent

The service currently uses technical identifiers for website delivery and basic analytics. Children's privacy law may treat persistent identifiers as personal information. A parent who does not want Google Analytics to process the child's hosted-site activity should use the opt-out choices in our Analytics & Storage Notice or not permit the child to use the hosted version.

Google is configured as an authentication provider through Supabase, but Google sign-in is not active in the current app interface and does not currently create a child-account session. Supabase cloud storage is also not active for learning data. Before we begin any new collection that requires verifiable parental consent, we will provide a direct notice describing the information, purpose, providers, parent choices, and consent method.

7. Retention and security

Local information remains on the device until it is reset or the browser's site data is cleared. Provider records are kept according to operational need, configured retention, and provider practices. We aim to retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for its stated purpose and use reasonable measures designed to protect it.
